Day of Adventure - Inland Seas Maritime Museum

So after spending some time with dinosaurs in a forest Jim and I headed back towards Cleveland… only 3 more planned stops in the day of Adventure.

By this time is was early afternoon so I decided that we were going to stop for lunch in Castalia. Castalia is the home of the infamous Blue Hole. A quick internet search will show and tell you lots about this great area attraction that closed a few years back. But as luck would have it I found that the Fish Conservancy in Castalia, which is located next door to the area formally open as the Blue Hole, had discovered another “Blue Hole” on there property and people could stop by.

So after a quick lunch in a small greasy spoon in Downtown Castalia (made by what Jim and would have to say was a small small man, we headed to the Fish Conservancy, which we found was closed!

So sad.

So we headed to our next stop of Vermillion where we were going to visit the Inland Seas Maritime Museum. If you’ve never been to Vermillion it is a quaint little village that is absolutely lovely in the summer.

Here are some pics of the museum that tells all about all the ships that have ever sailed the great lakes.

Day of Adventure - Prehistoric Forest

My last post started with a comment about me being lax…. Well if I was lax then all I can call myself today is LAZY with a capital L and a “Y” that can’t be answered.

SO after we left what little there was of Mystery Hill, Jim and I entered a fake stryofoam cave into the beginning of the Prehistoric Forest. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves:
