Ick!
Another week has begun in Cleveland.
After having spent a nice weekend in Mansfield with my family where it snowed all weekend but never really stayed on the ground, I returned to Cleveland last night, Easter night, to about 3 feet of snow in Cleveland. Lucky for me a neighborhood girl cam quickly and offered to shovel. I happily gave her 20 bucks and headed back to the couch to cuddle with my cat Katie. After she was done the city cam and plowed the street thus clogging the end of my driveway with a couple feet of slushy snow. So like the adult I pretend to be I headed out and spent about 20 minutes clearing out the rest of the driveway so I would be able to make it to work this morning.
I need to break for a moment and say that I have had a slight headache since last Wednesday and various aches and pains that never really manifested into a specific illness. I felt just bad enough to not want to do much and therefore didn’t.
So this morning as I wake up a bit before the alarm clock I realize I feel even worse and therefore call into work saying I will not be there. It is now a little after noon. I just got out of bed, Katie is here beside me on the couch and this is the start to a touch week.
But I will survive (HOW GAY!) and look forward to the warming sun to return to Cleveland.
